I’m Tara Nussbacher, RN, BSN, RNC-OB, C-EFM, a Labor & Delivery nurse with more than 14 years of experience in high-risk obstetrics. I’ve cared for patients through straightforward births and true emergencies as both a bedside and charge nurse.

Through True North LNC, I help plaintiff and defense attorneys understand what actually happened in the labor room and OR—what aligns with standards of care, where care may have fallen short, and how the fetal monitoring strip and documentation support (or contradict) the narrative. My focus is on clear, organized medical records and practical insights you can use in case evaluation and strategy.

Clinical Background

• 14+ years of inpatient Labor & Delivery experience, including charge nurse leadership

• High-risk obstetrics, induction/augmentation, VBAC, and operative deliveries

• Extensive experience with continuous electronic fetal monitoring and interpretation

• Deep familiarity with shoulder dystocia, HIE, emergency cesarean delivery, postpartum hemorrhage, and severe maternal morbidity cases
